Takings is a free app that tracks your property against the records the government actually uses: DOT road plans, right-of-way budgets, and FEMA flood maps, with more sources coming. It was purpose-built to do one thing: notify the owner before the government does.
Every taking begins on paper: a published plan, a funded budget, a mapped route. The state reads its own paperwork. Now you do too. Owners who see the project coming prepare, document, and negotiate from strength. Owners who don't find out from a letter.
Claim your property in under a minute. Enter the address. See the nearest signal immediately: the closest active project, its distance, and its status. Add your phone number, confirm it with a one-time code, and Takings tracks the address continuously. When the data changes, you get one alert.
There is no dashboard to learn and no feed to check. Takings holds your address against the data and stays silent until the data moves. Silence is the product working.
Takings presents data. It does not score it, interpret it, or tell you what to do. When a signal fires, the decision is yours, and the app can connect you to independent professionals: a property rights attorney, a real estate professional, or a contractor.
Every tier receives every signal. We do not withhold what the data says about your property.
More than five properties is a portfolio. Portfolios belong on the terminal.
For owners inside an active project, there is one more product: the file itself. A one-time purchase: $149 for a residential parcel, $299 for a commercial one. It puts everything we hold on your property and the project behind it in your hands: the project's funding and timeline, your parcel's exposure, and the documented condition of what you own before the state changes it.
